Unexpected Leave Hours to be adjusted in next Payroll.

Issue:
Payroll for 2/1-2/15 was processed but some employees were not able to record unexpected leave hours. When they returned to work, they recorded the leave hours but the next payroll 2/16 – 2/28 did not pick-up the leave hours.

Resolution:
Because timesheets are date sensitive and all hour (leave or hours worked) are enforced with the payroll period, the leave hours will not be recognized in the following pay period even if it is entered in the system. Here are a couple of options:

1. payroll department manually enter the unexpected leave on behalf of the employee. By doing this, it can then be added to the timesheet for 2/1/-2/15 before transferring to MIP
2. other option is the instruct employees to enter the leave using any date between 2/16-2/28 and in the notes are of the leave form, specify the actual date they took the unexpected leave. This will ensure the leave will get added automatically to the 2/16-2/28 payroll.
