Better viewing experience for Attachments

When dealing with a queue of items to approve and reviewing attachment details, the current workflow can feel somewhat inefficient from a user experience perspective. At the moment, users primarily have two options:

  • Download each attachment individually and wait for it to load in Adobe(Pdf platform)

  • Continuously click through buttons in order to review and zoom into document details

We would highly appreciate any improvements to this aspect of the approval workflow, as attachment review is a significant part of the day-to-day approval process.

Some potential enhancements that would greatly improve usability include:

  • Allowing users to zoom in and out using the mouse scroll wheel

  • Enabling click-and-drag movement of the document while viewing

  • Better utilizing the unused grey space around the document viewer to provide a larger viewing area

  • Potentially relocating attachment action buttons to the bottom of the screen to maximize document visibility

Our team previously transitioned from a platform called Emburse, and while we genuinely enjoy using Microix overall, this is one feature area that the team strongly misses from the previous platform experience.

We appreciate any consideration toward improving the attachment viewing and approval experience.

I agree with all the suggestions mentioned here. I did find one workaround: printing a PO and selecting the “Show All” option. This allows me to scroll through all attachments and then print selected pages to PDF. The “Show All” option does not appear when there are no attachments.

You can try the "Show All" Option to see all PDF documents all at once instead of opening each one. Use the + and - button to zoom in and out.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I do use the show all option as well. But that still would leave me with having to click 10+ times to zoom into parts of the document. The latter being having to do this for each invoice and downloading the 'show all' for each. My queues can span 30-50 in a given day, having to download the attachments for each API.
