while attempting to transfer a document to MIP Fund Accounting.
This error typically occurs when the posting period for the document's date is closed or restricted in MIP. MIP enforces strict accounting period controls, and documents
cannot be posted outside of open periods.
✅ Resolution Steps
- Check the Document Date
- Verify the date on the document you're trying to transfer.
- Ensure it falls within an open posting period in MIP.
- Review MIP Posting Period Settings
- Navigate to Organization > Organization Preferences > Entry Dates.
- Confirm that the period for the document date is open and not restricted for the module you're using.
- You must have a Prohibit Before AND a Prohibit After date
- Adjust the Posting Period (if authorized)
- If you have the necessary permissions:
- Open the required period and adjust accordingly
- Contact Your Finance/Admin Team
