Email Capture Setup

Prerequisites

Before using Email Capture feature, ensure the following:

  • Office 365 mailbox is available.

  • Mailbox account is a service account used only for receiving invoices. It should not be a general mailbox used for sending and receiving mail


Authorize Access to Office 365 Mailbox

Step 1: Set Up IMAP Mailbox Access

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Application Options from the navigation menu.

  2. Locate the IMAP group and select Office 365 as the provider.

  3. Enter or select the service mailbox account.

  4. Click button oAuth Authorization > IMAP.

    • A new page will open prompting you to authenticate with your Office 365 mailbox account.

    • If your Office 365 settings allow users to consent without administrator approval, you will receive a successful authorization message.

    • If consent authorization is blocked, contact your Office 365 administrator for assistance in granting access.

Step 2: IMAP Mailbox consent Successful

  1. Navigate to Invoice Capture from the navigation menu.

  2. Click the Email Capture button. A panel (or drawer) will open, displaying the mailbox content.

  3. Select one or more message containing your invoice and Microix will download the message and automatically OCR any invoices found in the mailbox.

    • All downloaded emails will be marked as read.

    • Emails that have already been processed will not be downloaded again.
