Overview

This article explains the behavior of the Final Notification feature in workflow approval routing where confirmation level is set to a GOTO value of 12 (Document Approved). It clarifies when notifications are sent and under what conditions they are restricted.

Rule Details

  1. When confirmation level is set to a GOTO value of 12 (Document Approved)

    • the system cannot send notifications after approval.

    • In this case, the level is only permitted to send a notification upon arrival of the level.

    • To enable this, navigate to Maintenance>Application Option” and check the option "Confirmation Email (on Arrival).

  2. When confirmation level is NOT set to a GOTO value of 12 (Document Approved)

    • If the confirmation level does not have a GOTO level pointing to MIP (Document Approved), the system will function normally.

    • Notifications can be configured to send either before or after approval, depending on your notification settings.

Example Scenarios

ScenarioGOTO ValueNotification TimingAdditional Requirement

Administrators must ensure that notifications are configured to trigger on arrival and that the Request Application Option is enabled. For all other GOTO values, the system supports notifications both before and after approval.
