This article explains how watermarks behave in the Workflow Module – Modern, how they differ from Microix Classic, and whether they can be edited or removed.
Workflow Module – Modern
Printed Document Forms (Purchase Order/Invoice)
In Microix Classic, the watermark displayed on document reports could be updated by modifying the Approval Level Title. However, watermark behavior has changed in the Modern workflow module.
In Workflow Module – Modern, the watermark cannot be edited, customized, or removed. The system automatically applies watermarks based on the document’s workflow status.
| Document Status | Watermark Displayed |
|---|---|
| Document In Process | In-Process |
| Document Approved | Approved |
While a document is actively moving through the workflow, the watermark “In-Process” is displayed across the printed document.
Once the document reaches its final approval state, the watermark automatically changes to “Approved.”
The approval level that determines when a document is considered fully approved is controlled by a Global Setting.
Global Setting ID (GSID): 52 "Final Level for Display Account Balance Report and Printed Documents"
Purpose: Defines the approval level at which the document is treated as finally approved
Required Action:
Set GSID 52 to the appropriate approval level that represents final approval for your organization.
Once the document reaches the approval level defined in GSID 52, the watermark will change from “In-Process” to “Approved.”
| Feature | Microix Classic | Workflow Module – Modern |
|---|---|---|
| Editable Watermark Text | Yes | No |
| Controlled by Approval Title | Yes | No |
| Automatic Status-Based Watermark | No | Yes |
Watermarks in Workflow Module – Modern are system-controlled.
The watermark cannot be removed or modified.
The displayed watermark depends entirely on the document’s workflow status.
The final approval state is determined by GSID 52.
