A: For customers using Microix Workflow Modules within the MIP Hosting environment, all databases and stored attachments reside in the hosting infrastructure managed by MIP (Community Brands). If you need backups or copies of your attachments for local storage, these requests must be submitted directly to MIP Support.
MIP Hosting can advise on:
Available backup options
Whether attachments can be exported or copied to your local servers
Any limitations or security considerations related to hosted data
Microix does not manage or control the hosting environment’s backup processes.
A: Microix Workflow Modules Modern does not send attachments through email. Instead, notification emails contain secure hyperlinks that point back to the documents stored in the MIP Hosting environment.
This design provides several security advantages:
Sensitive documents are not transmitted through email systems
Attachments are not stored in the recipient’s inbox
Access to documents is controlled through Microix security permissions
Data remains within the hosted environment rather than being distributed externally
Any encryption of data at rest or in transit within the MIP Hosting environment is governed by MIP’s hosting security policies, which MIP Support can provide in detail.
