For clients who are eligible and ready to move directly into Modern without a test environment.
Classic will be taken offline during the upgrade window.
Microix and MIP CS will install Modern directly into production.
Staff will begin using Modern immediately after the upgrade (once the Primary User sends out the Welcome Emails).
Classic will no longer be accessible.
Note: Once a client secures a spot on Microix’s Modern upgrade calendar, the Primary User must stay in the loop so they’re aware of any questions or concerns during the upgrade and can advise staff if anything needs to be rescheduled or adjusted.
Hosted MIP Customers: They can have a separate MIP test database, and Microix can connect to it. MIP charges for the extra database, and customers may also pay for scheduled production‑to‑test copies. All configuration must be done in production, and MIP can copy that setup into the test environment.
Modern Licensing: Licenses are per active user per database. A user accessing production + test will consume two licenses.
Important Limitation: Hosted customers should not implement in the test database. Microix cannot convert a hosted test database into production. If the customer insists, MIP must perform the restore, and all existing production data will be lost. After MIP completes the restore, Microix can assist with removing void documents.
For clients who want to explore Modern, complete training, or validate workflows before fully switching over.
